I vow to never buy a Kindle.  I love holding books in my hands.  I love the feel of my fingers running across the ink of the pages.  I love holding the book to my nose and just inhaling that unique smell of the book.  I love used books that have little notes from people who read the book before me.  Every time I read a new book it is like an intimate relationship.  I do not think I can get that from what just amounts to a book Ipod.
